Bacon-wrapped Southwest Stuffed Burgers

I have to admit, I’m a little bougie when it comes to food, including something as simple as a burger. Here’s a great recipe to throw on the grill whenever you’re craving a big, juicy cheeseburger.

  1. 2 lbs ground beef
  2. 1/2 an Onion
  3. 1 can diced hatch chilis
  4. 3 jalapenos
  5. 1 Cup Shredded Pepperjack Cheese
  6. 12 slices of Bacon, cut in half
  7. 1 Large avocado
  8. Salt
  9. Pepper
  10. 3 Tbs Worcestershire
  11. 1 Large egg
  12. Romaine Lettuce Leaves

*Season your ground beef with Salt and pepper in a large bowl. Add 3 Tbs Worcestershire and egg to beef, then mix. Grab about a handful of ground beef, and mold mixture into a circle. Using your thumb, press a hole into the circle, and stuff the beef with a Tsp of avocado, jalapeno, cheddar, hatch chili, onion. Take another handful of the ground beef mixture, and mold it over the stuffed half. Press to make burger shape. Once formed, take 4 halves of bacon, and place in woven pattern on burger. Fold the bacon edges underneath burger. You can either throw these bad boys in the oven on 375 degrees for 30-45 minutes, or on the grill until desired done-ness. Instead of a bun, I wrapped mine in Romaine, and topped with my favorite condiments and cheese! Makes 6 MONSTER Burgers.
